Pines Christian Academy partners with the master teacher of A Beka Academy of Pensacola, Florida. Our teachers work alongside DVD resources to accomplish goals of educating the student for the 21st century.
Our highest aim is to produce students who have a love of learning, are sound in their faith, and have a vision of God’s call in their lives to be used in their homes, the church, and the world.
Our DVD And Flex Program:
This program has been designed to meet educational needs beyond homeschool or independent study program while providing non-traditional classroom setting and tutorial instruction. Every student shall, upon enrollment, complete a study plan for the entire school year, which shall include: core subject needed for graduation, any remedial subjects needed for success on graduation, elective offerings of Pines Christian Academy, elective subjects available in other venues, vocational training, and work program (As available).
Flex School is currently available only to 9th through 12th grades. Certified teachers with A.A.’s, B.A.’s, and M.S.’s, are on staff. Parental involvement and support is highly encouraged. It is believed that this structure will best prepare students for college and life.
Home School Services:
Pines Christian Academy homeschool programs are divided into two categories.
I. Oversight: In this limited service program, Pines Christian Academy will maintain transcripts and records for homeschool families. Course content must be approved to meet minimum standards.
II. Complete: Complete services include textbooks, test material, supplemental materials, and use of daily lesson plans and answer keys. A computer-based curriculum is also available.
Support Services: Pines Christian Academy encourages Home School families to develop and participate in support group of other homeschool families in the local area.
