Women’s Ministry

SunlightsmallThe purpose of the Sunlight Women’s Ministries is to uplift, encourage, and challenge Christian women in their life journey as disciples of Jesus Christ and members of His global church.

This ministry provides on-going outreach opportunities and areas of service to develop and exercise the spiritual gifts God has given our women.  Women will find purposeful and personal fulfillment knowing they are a valuable part of the Body of Christ.  The ministry encompasses seasonal Bible studies, annual women’s retreats, annual teas, a Titus 2 mentoring program, and Women on Mission, our outreach arm. In addition, Sunlight ministry sponsors special events that provide extra funding for Esther’s Hope Women’s Home and other ministries supported by the Church. Its goal is to unify and strengthen the advancement of God’s Kingdom and promote fruitfulness in the lives of our church and other women in the community and around the world.

  • *Mentor young Christian women, to encourage their involvement in activities, guide them in relationship and cultural issues, and enable them to reach their full potential in Christ.
  • *Support global missions, including the needs of the North American and International Mission Boards.
  • *Seek broader avenues for women to get involved in dynamic Christian service.
  • *Encourage women to develop their spiritual gifts and fruits of the Spirit in ways that are honoring to Christ.
  • *Challenge each woman to use her gifts to complement those of other church members as they work together to further the cause of Christ in the church, association, and denomination, and throughout the world.
  • *Strengthen women in their family roles as wives, daughters, sisters, mothers, in-laws, aunts, nieces, and grandmothers, and in other important relationships.
  • *Offer encouragement to widows, single mothers, and home-bound and ill members of the church.
